BOTOX® Cosmetic, Dysport®, or Botulinum Toxin Type A

Botox

What is botulinum toxin?
Botulinum toxin Type A (most commonly referred to as BOTOX®) is a cosmetic injection that smooths out lines and wrinkles by blocking the nerve signals that cause muscles to contract. Botulinum toxin is most commonly injected between the brows, crows feet around the eyes, and horizontal forehead creases. It can also help rebalance facial asymmetry, relax tight neck bands, reduce perspiration, treat migraine headaches, and reduce muscle spasticity.

Why get botulinum toxin?
Over time, common facial movements can cause unwanted lines and wrinkles on your face. Depending on your genetics, lines can appear as early as your late twenties to as late as your early forties. If you are looking for a low risk and temporary solution to address these lines, botulinum toxin injections may be right for you.

Botulinum toxin is also a great option if you have any of the below concerns or conditions:

Lines that make you look tired, angry, sad, or upset (frown lines, crows feet, horizontal forehead creases)
Asymmetry in your eyebrows or face
Muscle spasticity
Eyelid spasms (blepharospasms)
Hyperhidrosis or excessive sweating (see perspiration reducer)
Chronic migraine headaches
Cervical dystonia
Movement disorders
Crossed eyes or a lazy eye

Below are some of the benefits of botulinum toxin:

Reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
Appear less angry and more approachable
Balance facial asymmetry
Relax tight neckbands
Reduce perspiration
Treat migraine headaches and muscle spasticity
Get a more refreshed and well-rested look
Improve your self-image and self-confidence
